I think there's a certain amount of "its worth 5c, I don't care"-- like what happens when people drop a penny on the sidewalk and ignore it. The internet just makes it easier to collect those pennies..

Right, I'm not saying that its only 5 cents to the icanhas people. Its 5 cents to the people who toss it away. icanhas makes out like total bandits because gathered together efficiently they've managed to take everyone's 5 cents and bunch it together into a massive payoff for themselves.

Its galling since they ignore and don't respect true copyright but there you have it. Several million people's worth of garbage adds up to gold for them.
